By Ainé | Cindy Bass, the Democratic nominee for City Council in the 8th District is in the midst of a four-week community listening tour to gather ideas from community leaders and voters in the 8th about how to move the City forward. There are stops at several churches and community centers throughout the district for town hall-style forums to gain input from the area’s workforce and residents. Bass will speak directly to voters about the issues concerning them, including education, public safety, and how to get our economy back on track. “It is important, as councilperson, that I listen to and understand the issues that face the citizens of the 8th District,” said Bass. “As councilperson, I plan to hold regularly scheduled meetings to stay in touch with the voters.”
In the wake of the disaster known as Donna Reed Miller, Bass will have her work cut out for her. This listening tour is a great opportunity to have your voice heard.
W Rockland Street is no stranger to Cindy Bass. She visited the block around primary time during our big Philly Spring Cleanup event and spent time walking the block and talking with neighbors. Read about Cindy’s W Rockland Street visit on her website.
